Lost Sock

I was just reading Craig's List cause I should be working but I'm procrastinating. Anyway, I never knew there was a Lost and Found section. Everybody's looking for something they lost - dogs, cats, people, their mind, their heart. Or they found something that they want to give back - dogs, cats, rabbits, wallets, suntan lotion. I feel ya.

Today I lost a sock. It dropped out of my shoe somewhere between the apartment and my car. It was a great sock, perfect for hiking. Always protected my foot from blisters. At work I mourned its loss. Tonight when I drove into my parking spot there was my sock. It looked as if I'd run it over on the way in but it was still in perfect condition. I marveled that it had remained there all day waiting for me to claim it, which I did happily.
