Everafter

One of my friends just told me that he and his wife are splitting up. This is very sad. As cynical as I am with regard to relationships and marriage each time I hear someone is splitting up I am devastated. I feel tricked by these married couples. I buy into their happiness and then inevitably they split up. I need them to stay together, to stick it out. I need to believe that there is a happily everafter because someday I hope to find it.

Sexual Hairassment

He: Your hair looks nice. If I may say that in a non licentious and non sexual harassment ....manner.
Me: uh, thanks.

Friday the 13th Part II

There's this guy at work kinda geeky, looks like an ageing academic hippy, little ponytail, round glasses, button down shirt fully buttoned up. Until today I'd never spoken to him in real life. However, I enjoy fantasizing about him, usually me dominating him and forcing him to well... you get the picture. I just had a 10 minute conversation with him and the whole time I'm talking to him I'm thinking I've fucked you in my head. It was surreal.

Then I came upstairs and ate 4 cookies. bleck!

Friday the 13th

Weird things have been happening all day. Case in point - I went to the women’s restroom and I open up the door and the lights are off and I hear someone say “I’m in here”. I flip on the light switch and Jerry our custodian comes out of the big stall. I’m like “What are you doing in here with the light off?” He says, “I’m cleaning.” I notice he has no broom, no mop, no bucket, no cleaning towel, no restroom supplies of anytype. He proceeds to flip open all the stall doors and pretend to check to see if they need supplies. I say, “You’re cleaning with the light off?” He makes some hand gesture which I guess means “I don’t need no stinking light.” and leaves. It was very, very odd.

And no I did not look in the stall to see if anyone else was in there.

Dolly,
I'm so excited you are looking for a kitty! Yea! Kitties!

GIRL! Did you see that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are dating?!?!?! There is this giant picture of them in a liplock on the internet. I cannot fuckin' believe it!

I totally lost it last night at the old apartment. I just fell apart. So many emotions and I was so tired. The Boy has agreed to make the trip over there with me tonight because I cannot load the rest of the stuff by myself. I need his car and his muscle. I'll be glad when the moving is over. I'm feeling very overwhelmed.

Wednesday morning I meet with the apartment manager for the walk through. I'm sure that will be a freakin' barrel of monkeys. I let some random peirced man into the building last night. BHA HA HA HA! He said he got locked out. For all I know he was locked out on purpose. Come on in. I don't give a crap.

Gotta work.

Ah..the sweetness of summer break

Chel,
Yesterday, I watched TV from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.! It was incredible. I finally watched the final two episodes of Dawson Creek...I know I am a BIG DORK!! So today, the series started all over again, so I watched the very first episode. When it was running, way back when, I watched it every once in awhile. Last night I picked up Mr. H and we went to D and B for happy hour. Whoa...we drank sooo much! So I feel a little sluggish today. I have plans today though. I need to go to the school for just a bit to check email and such. I apparently have a "student issue" to fix. P and R stands for Price is Right. We will make the hotel reservations today. I told Rich we wouldn't be available until Thursday afternoon. I don't want to get up at the crack of dawn Thursday and drive back from Santa Barbara. Well, I am going to try and sift through papers today in my spare room. That's about it. Glad the moving is almost done. What's up with Sam? Oh, I am going to Mom's tomorrow afternoon. We are going to look for a kitty. yipppeee! Love ya, me:)

Moving

Dolly,
Glad you posted. It is good to hear from you.

My weekend pretty much consisted of packing, unpacking, cleaning and hauling boxes around. I'm almost done. I'll be at the apartment in Hollywood tonight and tomorrow night to pick up odds and ends and vacuum one last time. I'm sad. I've really enjoyed my apartment but I know it's time for a change. The fish moved fine they now reside at The Boy's apartment.

Sam has finally come out from hiding under the covers. Now he wakes me up at 2 or 3am banging around in the kitchen cabinets. Last night I was taping them all shut at 3am. Hopefully he'll stop rumaging through the cabinets once they are all full. Crazy cat!

Well I'm off to Hollywood to load the car.

Don't Fall Over

Yes, it's me...Dolly. The semester is officially over, except for the one class I need to finish grading. Then I can post their grades and jump for joy! What a semester Chel! Thanks for always being there for me during all the rough spots..and the great spots. My teaching really went downhill at the end when I went to Philly and Boston. I tried my best. I am putting together a proposal to have 6 hours release time per semester next year to do forensics. It's just too much by myself and especially when I have a heavy teaching load. We will see if it gets approved. My 4n6 kids gave me an italian charm bracelet...with hearts, 4N6, and the pig! It is so awesome! Tonight I watched Tapashya give her graduation speech. She was amazing! I cried. I will miss her SOOOOOO much. I will miss this team everyday next year. They were truly the best! But it is nice to close the door for a month before summer school starts. I will move into my new office soon. Want to come help? hee hee....I know you must be DONE with moving! I can't wait to come see the new digs....very soon. Mr. H and I are super excited. Any decision on what hotel? I think the one with two beds. He snores toooooo loud for us to be right next to him! I want to go to the P is R again. Want to go? Better go for now. Love ya, me
